Bo Choy
Bo Choy (b. 1986, Hong Kong) is a Hong Kong-born, London-based artist working across film, performance and sound. She received a BA from Chelsea College of Art, and MA from Slade School of Art. She uses fiction, music, writing and costumes as artistic devices. Often borrowing aesthetic tropes from Far Eastern folklore traditions and rituals, her use of costumes and fiction results in works that merge the everyday with the fantastical, the mythological and sometimes the absurd.

Selected screenings, performances and exhibitions include BNC21, South London Gallery (London, 2022); I Could Not Recall How I Got Here, Tabula Rasa Gallery (London, 2021); Bloomberg New Contemporaries, First Site (Colchester, 2021); Alchemy Film and Moving Image Festival (Hawick, 2021); VII Moscow International Biennale for Young Art (Moscow, 2020); Kasseler DokFest (Kassel, 2020); Tomorrow: London, White Cube Online Exhibition, Platform1, Bloomsbury Theatre (London, 2020); Intimacy Spills, Barbican Arts Trust (London, 2020); Gathering 1, Sanmei Gallery (London, 2020); Mascara Film Club (London, 2019); Manége (Trekorner Fort, 2019); A/WA session, Auto-Italia (London, 2018); and the 6th Thessaloniki Biennale (Thessaloniki, 2017/18).
