Artist Zoë Marden’s short film “Becoming Creature” is currently featured at NADA Curated: After the End, an online exhibition curated by Catherine Taft, Deputy Director & Curator at LAXART. It is now live on newartdealers.org through May 5th.
The fourth edition of NADA Curated—a series of online exhibitions highlighting artists and art spaces from NADA’s international community—features 27 artists that address speculative futures.
“This selection of artwork reflects inventive themes ranging from hybridity, utopian ideals, AI abstractions, virtual reality, culturally specific futurisms, animal collaboration, science fiction, ancestral technologies, transcendence, and green experimentation. It’s a diverse group of makers that begin to imagine a new human order.” – excerpted from the curatorial statement by Catherine Taft.
The work was exhibited at the group show “Becoming Creature - The Chthonics, the Statue and Man” at our London space last year, it has also won The Best Experimental Film Awards of the London Independent Film Awards in London in 2022.
